Somthing about John Dillon
English artist John Dillon (George Medal) was born in London, England in 1963. After leaving the Royal Navy in 1984 John trained to be an Engineer. His passion for Motorcycles introduced him to the custom painting scene which he quickly embraced and soon he was painting his artwork onto motorcycles. His custom painting style was soon gaining awards in the UK and Sweden. In 2000, while visiting Italy, John was introduced to the artwork of Italian artist Lorena Straffi. After his initial introduction he was offered the opportunity to work in Italy on various projects for companies like Ducati and Saeco. In the following years his photorealistic style and attention to fine detail attracted the attention of lighter collectors and he began receiving commissions for hand-painting motorsport artwork onto the surfaces of lighters.
In 2006 he and his partner Lorena Straffi formed a unique company specialising in hand painting miniature artwork onto luxury collectable items such as Pens and Lighters. They have gained a worldwide reputation for high quality artwork and zippo collectors love their airbrush art on zippo lighter
